The Beginning
The telegraph revolutionized long-distance communication. The telegraph worked by transmitting electrical signals over a wire laid between stations. They used Morse code o communicate, sets of dots and dashes. The first telegraph was sent in 1844, from Washington D.C., to Baltimore, Maryland.
