SICK CHILDREN
Again, thanks so much for keeping sick children home. It really does make a difference, confining the illness from school, and aiding children to get well more quickly.

Pre-Kindy days and availability
A newsletter was sent out to all Pre-Kindy families earlier this week asking for your preferences for days of attendance at Pre-Kindy 2022.
We ask that you still state your preferred days on the form even if you have already done so verbally.
We make every effort to accommodate preferences, but it will depend upon availability.
Please note the following:
- Children must be three years old to attend Pre-Kindy; this is required by law.
- Pre-Kindy now operates with full days only, from 9 am to 3 pm.
- Children may attend a maximum of three days a week, subject to availability.
- While we allow for attendance up to three days a week, it may transpire that we offer your family fewer days, in order to give everyone a chance to participate.
- Children born before 1 July will be given preference for 2022, as children born after 1 July are able to participate in 2023 for the full year.
TEACHER GET TO KNOW YOU - TRISH NORMAN
Who was your favourite teacher in school and why?
My Year 8 English Teacher – she loved books as much as I do. We are still friends and talk about books and so much more.
Is there anything you wished would come back into fashion?
Progressive dinner parties – they were a hoot!
Do you love or hate rollercoasters?
Hate, hate, hate and loathe entirely!
What's your favourite family tradition?
Roast lunch at Grandma’s house with the whole family – I have 2 brothers and two sisters and 15 nieces and nephews – these are loud but fun afternoons.
Who would you want to play you in a movie of your life?
Emma Thompson – I think she is wonderful!
What's your favourite zoo animal?
Meerkats- snap Mrs Craig – they are just sooo cute;)
What was the last book you read? Reading this term -
The Magic Faraway Tree – again!!! My class are loving it🙂
If you could choose to do anything for a day, what would it be?
Snuggle on my couch, in front of a fire with a wine and a good book
If you were a super-hero, what powers would you have?
Hmm a tricky one – I think I’d like to be like a Genie and grant other people wishes – but I couldn’t live in a lamp;)
LIBRARY NEWS
BOOK WEEK 2021
The countdown is on to Book Week 2021 with the theme this year being Old Worlds, New Worlds, Other Worlds. Book Week falls in week 6, with our famous parade being held on Friday 27th August. Children are encouraged to dress as their favourite book character using things that they already have at home. Classes are busily working on their art for the library which will be judged by our very own Sr Eileen, with prizes being awarded at the Parade assembly. Have a wonderful long weekend!
