March Parent Newsletter
Manvel School 2022
A note from Principal Hiltner . . .
This winter has been a cold and snowy one! We have used all of our snow days that were put into the school calendar, so there WILL be school on Friday, April 8th, and Friday, April 29th. Should we have any more storm days this year, we will plan to do e-learning from home. Please look for an email from your child's teacher if we happen to have another storm day this year.
There will be NO SCHOOL on Friday, March 4th for students. The teachers will be involved in Professional Development on this day at MPS.
It is hard to believe, but the end of our third quarter is on Thursday, March 17th. After that, that leaves us only 9 weeks left of this school year. Just a reminder that there is no school on Friday, March 18th (for a short spring break).
The Manvel School Board has approved the calendar for the 2022-2023 School Year. I have attached it below in this newsletter. In this month's parent newsletter, you will also find information about Preschool Screening, Reading Month, and the 3rd Annual MPS Spelling Bee. I have also included pictures of the many learning activities that have taken place over the past month, both in and out of school. The North Dakota State Assessment will be administered in a few weeks in grades 3rd - 8th deemed mandatory by the State of North Dakota. There is more information below in this parent newsletter.
This community continues to be an integral part of what we do, and we appreciate your support as we maneuver through this school year! Please don't hesitate to reach out about any concerns, questions, or ideas you may have to help us make MPS a place where we continue to empower every student, every day! Happy March!
Thanks to the Lind Family for their donation of the beautiful bus table runner to MPS!
