Principal's Update
Dear Wolfpack Community,
Today was a challenging day for many in our school with the brief lockdown. We are thankful to the Spokane Police Department for their quick actions to keep us informed and safe. While in the end, there was not a threat to North Central, I was proud to see our students and staff react quickly, professionally, and safely. We followed our lockdown protocols and our school was fully locked down within 3 minutes of the notification from SPD. Thank you to all of those who have helped to support our students today. I am summarizing the lockdown procedures below in case you would like to review them for future reference.
I have had so much fun engaging in NC events this week! The energy at our basketball games has been electric, and the play, Shakespeare in Love is amazing! Our thespians have taken on a huge enterprise – script, stage, costumes, and music in the pit – and exceeded expectations. Please consider attending tonight or tomorrow night and at the same time, stop to look at the amazing visual arts displays recently put up in the entry and skylight.
On a different note, NCHS Administrative Team is aware of private users leveraging social media for bullying, intimidation, and harassment. We regularly monitor posts and request removal through Instagram or other social media sites. If we identify who took the photo or who posted the inappropriate picture, we do follow up with school discipline as it is a disruption to the educational process.
To support our community, if you see such posts, please contact the social media platform, and ask for the post to be removed. Please encourage students to report information rather than sharing or amplifying rumors. Thank you for your support.
The strength of the wolf is in the pack.

Hello NC! We are holding another Cocoa and Cram this Saturday(12/10) in the library from 12-3. Please consider coming in and bringing your projects, essays and other assignments and enjoy free snacks and hot cocoa. See you Saturday!
Shakespeare in Love Continues for Two More Nights
Shakespeare in Love opened last week to rave reviews! This hilarious, romantic stage play is based on the Academy-Award winning film. It reimagines William Shakespeare's creative process as he writes Romeo and Juliet in Elizabethan London.
Shows continue December 9 and 10 at 7pm. Tickets can be purchased in the business office. Come support not only the NC Drama program, but the NC Music department as well - they are playing live music for the show, under the direction of Tim Blaydon.
Want more information and photos? Check out this feature on high school theater productions SPS posted on Facebook. See you at the show!
