High School Highlights

Reinventing the urban experience together

Week of January 4, 2016

Welcome back! I hope everyone had a peaceful winter break; one where you were able to enjoy your family and loved ones, get well rested and still find some personal time to do the things that bring you joy and revitalize you. We all know how hectic and swift the second semester is, so that rest will do you well!

Attendance for the last week of the semester was great. The high school average was higher than the district average; way to go team! In the next newsletter, after you all have cleaned up any first semester attendance, I will share the first semester attendance. Remember, 93.3% attendance for high schools is #16 on the district scorecard.

Saturday is our day to shine! The high school showcase will open doors to the public at 9 am at the Palmer Events Center. Look for an email from Jennifer Mendez recapping all you need to know about the event. Remember, this is a time for ALL high schools to shine and show off what we have as a collective group have to offer students in Austin. We should all support and honor they great programming at ALL of our campuses.
