Much Ado About Nothing

Character 1:
I chose Adam Sandler as the person to cast as Benedick. Their personalities are much alike. They both are comical and as one would state “immature.” At the same time, there is a serene and heartfelt side to their makeup.
Character 2:
Melissa Mccarthy fits perfectly in as the character to cast as Beatrice. The similarities are a lot like Adam and Benedick’s. The jokester, childish side and then the serious, matured adult.
Character 3:
Chloë Moretz is who I have chosen to fill in the cast for Hero. They both have a very simple yet innocent look. They both play very well mannered and respectful young ladies.
Plot 1:
This scale represents the return of Don Jon and it’s unbalanced outcome. Don Pedro is under the illusion that his brother Don Jon, means the best. Don Jon is actually a very jealous and fired up character in the play, the antagonist. This twisted its way into the plot and made the play a lot more interesting. It proves to us that family really is everything, in good or bad situations.
Plot 2:
This picture represents the secret of the love between Benedick and Beatrice. For the longest time, they feud and claim to never be in love with the opposite gender. It takes their friend’s help to open their eyes, and surprisingly it works! Within the blink of an eye, they are married! This event adds a little romance to the plot and shows us that people can change if they let themselves do so.
Plot 3:
This broken heart really represents the end of the play, when Claudio believes that Hero has been unfaithful. This, in my opinion is the climax of the entire play, even though it occurs at the end. It breaks open a whole different bottle for everyone in the story. It reveals the dishonesty between friends, brothers, and lovers.
Theme
I chose One and Only by Adele, for my song of choice. This song represents love and it’s commitment. “I don’t know why I’m scared, I’ve been here before,” explains the relationship of Beatrice and Benedick. They have known each other for so long and been able to hold a conversation easily. Now that they are in love and share a different type of relationship that they are used to, they both feel uncomfortable and confused. “I promise I’m worthy,” is the perfect matching lyric for the significance of Hero and Claudio. There is so much battling against them and they both have to fight for each other without even knowing it.
