December 2014 Online Edition

Principal's Message

Dear Families and Friends of Boone School,

It was wonderful to see so many of you on Parent-Teacher Conference Day. We had a great turnout with approximately 90% of families attending. I hope you enjoyed visiting with all of our teachers and learning more about programs throughout the school. Congratulations to the families of Shazia Fazal and Maria Castulo, the winners of the Boone Passport Raffle!

I am looking forward to seeing many of you again soon at some of our upcoming December events such as the Boone Winter Show, Parent Mornings, and the Middle School Science Fair. Please see calendar below for specific dates and times.

I wish you peace and happiness as you enjoy the holiday season, share old traditions, and maybe even begin some new ones!

Sincerely,

Jackie Delaney, Principal

Attendance & Punctuality

Thank you for your support in getting students to school on time every day. Arriving on time between 8:10-8:15 AM provides students with the appropriate amount of time to eat breakfast, organize themselves, and mentally prepare for the day. Students' presence in school every day helps them to keep up with their workload and maintain a positive attitude about school. Every day counts! Please be sure students attend school every day except for in the case of illness. If you would like further information on how attendance has shown to significantly affect students' academic outcomes, click here for a link from Catalyst Chicago.
