MARINER WEEKLY!
5/9/22
AUDITORIUM DEDICATION - MAY 23, 2022
Maria Ressa, co-founder and CEO of the investigative news site Rappler, was named one of Time magazine’s People of the Year (2018) and was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize (2021) for her efforts to safeguard freedom of expression, which is essential for democracy and lasting peace.
Ms. Ressa graduated in 1982 from Toms River High School North, where she served as class president for three years; performed as a member of the chorus, orchestra, and theatre clubs; played basketball and softball; and, unsurprisingly, was voted “most likely to succeed.”
On May 23rd from 10:30 - 11:30am, Students from our school will be joined by groups from High School's East and South as we dedicate our auditorium in Ms. Ressa's honor. If your student would like to attend the presentation, please please have them fill out the google form below. Attendance will be determined on a first come first served basis.
Congratulations!
Congratulations to Jake Nagle on becoming the second player in Toms River North history to achieve 500 digs for our Boy's Volleyball team. This remarkable achievement comes despite missing his sophomore season due to the pandemic. Jake will be attending Fairleigh Dickinson University in the fall.
