Journey to Islam Refelctions
We are excited to share that MSA Guelph had its very first ever Revert Panel on March 18th and we are extremely grateful to everyone who came out to join us. Alhumdullilah it was an inspiring, interesting and informative session as a panel of reverts from various backgrounds shared their stories of embracing Islam as well the struggles they faced while trying to hold on to their Islamic beliefs. The purpose of this event was to allow people to realize the value of our faith as well as to raise awareness about struggles faced by our revert sisters and brothers and learn how to support them.
- The Prophet ﷺ says that the reward for the removal or relief of the distress of a Muslim will be rewarded by a removal of a similar distress or difficulty in the Hereafter.
- To demonstrate the positive impact we hoped that this event would have, we are pleased to provide you with a few reflections from both audience and panelists:
"I'm glad I was in attendance this is great and really intense, passionate stuff. It gave me a new perspective on what it means to be Muslim and why people convert" - Audience member
"Asalamualaikum, I just want to say a huge thank you to the organizers of this event! It was such a beautifully planned event and it was such an honour to be part of it. May Allah grant you the rewards if even a single person benefited from this. This was a much needed reminder for myself as I got to relive my journey and get back in touch with my connection to Allah" - Panelist Member
