Say Hy to the Future of Fuel,
With Hydrogen Fuel Cells!
What is a hydrogen fuel cell?
A fuel cell is a chamber which combines hydrogen and oxygen to produce electricity, heat, and water. It converts energy into usable electric power and reduces fuel consumption by 50%. Fuel Cells can power almost all of our transportation machines and are the future of petroleum!
How does it work?
Fuel cells cleanly and efficiently convert chemical energy from hydrogen and oxygen into electrical power and usable high quality heat in an electrochemical process that contains no pollutants. It is made of many individual cells that are grouped together to form a a fuel stack. Each individual cell contains an anode, a cathode and an electrolyte layer. When the hydrogen fuel enters the fuel cell stack, it reacts with oxygen to produce an electric current, heat and water.
A NEW WAY TO POWER OUR FUTURE!
What Are The Benefits?
The fuel is available and ready to use whenever needed! It's safe for the environment and emits almost no harmful gases into the atmosphere. The fuel is renewable and and efficient for all types of transportation. The fuel cell operates silently, and there is also a low amount of heat transmissions making it even better to use in our transportation machines.
Fun Fact:
NASA uses hydrogen fuel in their rockets because of its power and better effect on the environment!
Are There Any Negative Effects?
Hydrogen fuel is expensive to make in mass quantities, however the prices down from $1000 per kilowatt to $61 per kilowatt in the last few years. It also requires a lot of work to break up the compounds inside. In order to make the fuel, use of natural gas and fossil fuels is required to separate the hydrogen from oxygen. It is also can be hard to transport and is highly flammable if used incorrectly.
