Senior Picnic!

Senior class of 2022

May 18th is your senior picnic at Circle R ranch.

Payment were due by May 13th.

All students participating will ride a bus over to Circle R after Senior Spotlight that morning (load busses @10:00am). Attendance will be taken on the way to the event and on the way back to FMHS

- Water/lunch will be provided

- Wear sunscreen! (it's going to be HOT)

FMHS Visual Art students had an outstanding showing at the 2022 Congressional Art Competition! To see the student winners and their art works, click here -


The Flower Mound Band Program performed their Spring Concert last Wednesday here in the FMHS Auditorium. They were honored to accept the Outstanding Band Program of 2022 from the Texas Chapter of the American School Band Directors Association! Each year the organization selects one band program that has maintained a quality program and has consistently performed at a high level at UIL, TMEA and other national or recognized festivals and events.

Congratulations to the Brady Connor (tuba) on being named the 2022 FMHS Band Concerto Competition Winner. Brady will be attending Baylor University in the fall and majoring in Music Education.

Congratulations to the Brass Quintet featuring Joey Risberg, Kathir Seralaathan, Cole Reed, Braden Dial, and Brady Connor on winning the FMHS Band Chamber Ensemble Competition. These students were featured on the spring concert last week!


The FMHS a cappella group, Blue Print, has begun recording for their upcoming EP! Stay tuned in the fall for release details – remember that you can listen to Blue Print’s releases of “I Don’t Miss You at All” and “Fake Happy” already on most streaming platforms

Congratulations to Lindsay Swartwood for being named Director of Choral Activities at FMHS, and to Scott Taylor for being named Performing Arts Department Chair!

This Week:

FMHS Fine Arts Signing Day is on Monday, the 16th, during 2nd period. If you have the time, and you want to watch around a dozen students participate as they reaffirm their commitment to pursue arts degrees in college, come on down! Signing Day will occur in the auditorium.

The Flo Mo Choir has two concerts this week: The Spring Non-Varsity Choir Concert is on Monday evening, the 16th (7 pm – auditorium), and the Jaguar Chorale’s finale concert, “Could We Belong?”, is on Saturday morning, the 21st(Northaven UMC in North Dallas – 10 am).

The FMHS orchestra also has two concerts this week: Wednesday and Thursday, May 18th & 19th; curtain is 7 pm.

Flower Mound Junior Leadership Program - Current Sophomores & Juniors!

Our Flower Mound Junior Leadership Program is now accepting applications.

Please have students apply using this link. We are hoping to have around 15 students from both of your campuses as part of the initial class.

The application deadline is May 20th at 4 PM.

LISD Calendar Make-Up Days

Each year, our school calendar allows for the possibility of school closures by building in days we can use if necessary to make up missed days. And this year, we will need to use those days. We have made the following adjustments to the calendar:

April 18
Staff and students will report to campuses.

May 24
Students and staff will attend school for the full day.

May 25
Staff and students will report to campuses, and students will be released early according to normal campus early release hours.
