Summer Updates
Here are a few updates to keep you in the know!
1. Staffing updates - We are still in the process of filling the open para positions at West. We have filled several openings, however we have now lost Lisa Morgan so we have another spot to fill. We are also anticipating an opening in our special ed department and will be working to fill that void.
2. Scheduling - Schedules have been mailed out to all grade levels despite the continued challenges with Infinite Campus. Parents/guardians currently still do not have access to the parent portal to do the annual re-registration or look up transportation information. Transportation information can be found, however, on the Infofinder website.
3. Calendar - We have been updating numerous calendars for the 2019-20 school year. A folder has been created to house them all in the West shared drive. Go to shared>personnel only>Calendars>2019-20. There is also a folder in the shared drive called Charts 2019-20 that has both teacher and para schedules.
4. Opening day at BASH on August 20 starts with the benefits expo from 7-8am. Our start time on August 21 and 22 will be 8am.
West Rallies Around Our Community
Also, one of our West families had their home ravaged by the floodwaters and they will be displaced for several more months. We have been in touch with them and they will let us know if there is anything we can do to provide additional support. We have hooked them up with backpacks and school supplies for their children already.
Data Update
Our data retreat was held on August 7-8. This information will then be shared with the rest of the professional staff during our opening meetings on August 20-22.
