Message from the Principal

Dear Advantage Arts Family,

It is already April! I was thinking a lot this past few weeks about how we have been in-person learning all year long. The students have done a fantastic job acclimating back to the classroom. I appreciate the support and collaboration from the school community to make all of the different transitions this year possible.

Now that we are in April, the end of the school year is going to come quickly. The last couple months of school are filled with a lot of different events. We have end of the year testing, a "Fun Run" fundraiser, Spring Break, and last week of school activities. Please hold on tight and look for ways, from your teacher, to join in on the activities.

Enrollment Update: A lot of our grade levels are full or very close to being full for next year! Watching our school community grow is super exciting. If you are currently enrolled at Advantage Arts Academy, please go to your Aspire account and next to your students name there is a box that says, "Can Enroll for Grade.." There is a spot reserved for you next year.

If you are not returning to Advantage Arts Academy, please let our office staff know. We will miss you! We do have students who are on waiting lists, ready to fill those seats.

Thank you all for being amazing. You have incredible students! We want to make sure the last two months have been just as great as the rest of this school year.

Mr. Kano

Center Stage

Kindergarten Rainbows

In Kindergarten, students learned about the primary colors and how to make the secondary colors. They mixed their own colors of paint to paint all of the colors of the rainbow. They loved getting to see how the colors changed as they mixed the primary colors together.

3rd Grade Totem Poles

In third grade, students have been making an animal out of paper to represent themselves on a class totem pole. Students thought of a symbolic animal then used scrap papers to cut out different shapes to represent their animal. Their animals will be stacked up on each other to create totem poles for their class. We can't wait to see the final result!

5th Grade Civil War Quilt

In fifth grade students learn about the Civil War. We are working to make a "quilt" out of paper squares that students decorated to represent an important person or event from the Civil War. Then we will put them all together to create a quilt-like installation.

After School Clubs

ART CLUB IS NOW FULL! Please be sure you have paid your art club fee. There is a $40 participation fee that needs to be paid in the office to cover the cost of supplies. Art Club is two times a month from now until May. Art Club starts right after school at 3:15 in the art room (Room Number 203). If you have any questions on dates or questions about art club please email Mrs. Redd at

Violin Music Club

Violin Club will be for 3rd-6th Grade Student and is on MONDAY, TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY, and THURSDAY from 3:15-4:15. Students in the Violin Music Club will need go straight to ROOM 201 (Next to Mrs. Redd's art room) after school. On the day your student has club, larger instruments can be brought into the front office in the morning and must be picked up on the way to room 210.

Drama Club
