Today wraps up Holocaust Education Week
Holocaust Week is November 8 - 12 in Florida. Here are some resources for your consideration, https://www.fldoe.org/holocausteducation/resources.stml
Understanding the significance of the Holocaust carries great importance today. The Holocaust was a watershed moment in history as it illuminates the many manifestations of hate and its impact. Therefore, we endeavor to strengthen the resilience of people against hateful ideologies. The United Nations emphasizes the use of education as a potent tool to present and model a culture of peace. Within the framework of its programs on the prevention of violent extremism and Global Citizenship Education, valued organizations work towards advancing activities to prevent and address overt forms of anti-Semitism. Visit the UNESCO website to learn more to do your part for peace.

Water helps maintain blood pressure, regulates body temperature, aids with digestion, and flushes body waste. Stay hydrated for optimum health and performance!
Way to Go Wednesdays! We want to shout out these awesome students who helped Ms. H and Mrs. Bartow last week simply out of the kindness of their hearts. Thanks to Juliana Vallone, Sam Vinci, and Hope Alford.
Thankful Thursdays! Thankful for our Veterans!
Fun Fact Fridays! Today is fun fact Friday and it’s all about animals! Did you know that octopuses have three hearts? Cows don’t actually have four stomachs; they have one stomach with four compartments. Finally, the platypus doesn’t have a stomach at all: Their esophagus goes straight to their intestines.
Handbook Highlight- Common Areas p. 14
We have been seeing issues with each of these listed below:
Headphones/ear buds must be used by any student playing audio within the common areas. For safety reasons, only 1 earbud may be used.
Musical instruments or other sound-producing items are not allowed while classes are in session.
All cards and games, including video games, must be school appropriate. Games played in the common areas must not be a distraction to others.
