ATTENDANCE PROCESS UPDATE FOR ALL SCHOOLS

HOLD THE PHONE! Literally!

As we prepare for the start of the school year, we want to alert all parents that Franklin is implementing a new attendance procedure due to the impact of COVID-19. When your child is unable to attend school for any reason, we ask that you fill out THIS FORM located as a button on the Home Page and “Parents Information” sections of your school’s website to report/excuse ANY absence. This form will require you to enter your child’s six-digit student ID number and birthdate before you can report your child absent. The form can be submitted from your phone or other mobile devices, and only takes a few minutes to complete. Responses to the items on this form will be used to enter, code, and track absences in our system. Student specific medical information collected by the form will remain confidential and only be shared within the health and nursing services team.

This form was designed to help us rapidly assess possible cases of COVID-19 so that we can mitigate the spread of the virus. After completing the form, you may receive a follow-up phone call from one of our health and nursing services staff with either follow-up questions or additional information.

To help families transition to this new system, we are still allowing parents to call in your child’s school’s absence line to report your child absent through October 2. As of October 5, this form is the only way you will be able to notify us of your child’s absence. When calling, please be as detailed as possible with regard to the reason your child is absent. If you call the school absence line, and your child is ill, it is likely that you will receive a follow-up phone call from a district staff member.

Parents will no longer be able to send an email to report their child absent.

We advise that you bookmark this form on your computer or make a home screen shortcut on your phone for quick access. The form is the same across the district and can be used for ANY type of absence.

If you have any questions, please contact your child’s principal.

NEW PROTOCOL FOR PARENT DROP-OFF AND PICK-UP PROCEDURES

At Country Dale, we value the safety of all students and staff. Due to COVID-19, we are taking extra precautions in order to follow the social distancing guidelines provided by the Franklin Health Department. Please read this document carefully as these procedures are different from how we have done things in the past.

If someone other than you provides transportation to or from school, we ask that you share this information with them so they are also familiar with our procedures.

COUNTRY DALE SCHOOL SUPPLY LIST IS UPDATED

Thank you to all of you for your patience as we set up our Virtual Option and revisit some of our normal start of the year processes like school supplies. As of today, all school supply lists are updated.

One common question right now is, "Are school supplies the same for VIRTUAL students as they are for IN-PERSON students?"

  • For 4K-5th Virtual: We have trimmed down the in-person school supply list and linked up a "Virtual" supply list to each school's supply list document.

Here is the Country Dale school supply list for the upcoming school year 2020-21.

FORMS DUE TO THE OFFICE

Just a reminder that if you have any forms such as your child’s birth certificate, proof of residency or immunization records that need to be turned in, feel free to stop by the office prior to the start of school to drop those off. ATTENTION 4K & KINDERGARTEN PARENTS REGARDING BUS TRANSPORTATION HOME

4K & Kindergarten students will be picked up and dropped off with other elementary students at a designated stop. A parent or designee must assume responsibility for the child at the stop when dropped off.

A MESSAGE FROM OUR PTO BOARD

Welcome to a new school year! One of our first items to our agenda for the year is to get families signed up for our directory. If you want to have your name in the PTO directory and want to receive that with the emails about PTO events, you must sign-up here - 2020-2021 PTO Directory. **The school is unable to give out student addresses or phone numbers**If you would like this information, for a birthday party, play date, etc., you will need to sign up for the directory at the beginning of the school year. Only the families that sign up will be included in the directory and will be able to get the directory.

You are able to fill out as little information if you are concerned about yours or your student's privacy. You must fill one out for each student every year.

Want to help out? Email us or drop into one of our virtual meetings to learn how you can help support our school for one hour, one day or the whole year long. We need your help and expertise, please consider volunteering and making our school great!

Our email is: admin@countrydalepto.org

A link to our meeting will be in the weekly school newsletter, the meetings are once a month on the second Tuesday at 5:30pm.

Though we may need to switch up some of our regular events, that doesn’t stop us from being the amazing school community that we are! Our PTO is working hard to revise our fall events and will keep you updated through the weekly newsletter and our email list.

If you want to keep up on our events, sign up for the directory and like us on Facebook - Country Dale PTO Facebook.

Please let us know if you have any questions or suggestions and we look forward to another great school year!
