Syrian Refugees not Welcome in 31 U.S. States

Unalienable Rights to All

After the news broke that one of the men suspected to be involved in the Paris Attacks entered Europe posing as a Syrian Refugee, many Americans pressured state government officials to take action. Now over half of the United States is refusing to allow refugees to enter. Some call for complete denial of entrance, while other states call for extreme background checks and to treat them as criminals until proven otherwise. This has to stop! To treat all refugees as criminals based solely on the action of a few is unconstitutional; not just on my standards but on the standards of this country. “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all Men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.” By denying access to those seeking refuge, we as citizens of the United States, are denying human beings their right to Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.
