We are nearly done with Topic 6: Transformation and Similarity. Students have been working at their own pace (to a degree), with mini-lessons and plenty of teacher support. For this unit, we have been utilizing lesson quizzes to assess understanding. Students must be finished with lesson 6-9 by the Tuesday we return from break. We will begin Topic 7: Pythagorean Theorem on Wednesday, March 25th. This will also be the return of note-taking and homework assignments. Have a great spring break!
Band - Chesney
If you were unable to attend the parent meeting on Tuesday in regards to the 2021 high school band trip, the Trip Information packet is attached. We are excited to announce that Platte County High School Bands will be traveling to Orlando, Florida in June of 2021 for a 6 day trip to march in the parade at Walt Disney World and attend other parks and attractions. Two dates to remember - April 1, 2020 is the DEADLINE to register your student (and yourself, siblings, family, etc) for the trip. This is a pretty hard deadline - please make sure you are aware of this. April 8th is the date for the initial deposit. If you have more questions, please feel free to contact me or Dr. Matthew Bonsignore, Associate Director of Bands at PCHS and the trip coordinator. Dr. Bonsignore can be reached at bonsigm@platteco.k12.mo.us.
I hope all of you consider going on this trip - it is an absolute blast and we will make many lifelong memories!
