End of Year Calendar Information

The last two weeks of school are packed full of fun and exciting events. We are SOO excited to get to provide these events this year and to fully wrap up our year and send it out with a bang.

We are still unable to allow visitors into the building due to the COVID restrictions currently in place. Any parents wanting to volunteer for Field Day MUST have been approved by the district and submitted a volunteer form through PTA.

  • Water Filtration Fundraiser - May 17-21
  • Field Day - May 20 with May 21 be the rain make-up day
  • MAP & iReady Celebration - May 26
  • Last Day of School - May 27 @ 1:45 (2 hour early release
  • 5th grade final walk - May 27 @ 1:30 on the track

Any 5th grade parents who would like to video/record the 5th grade walk should plan to park along Sunset Street and may stand on the sidewalk along the fence. We will get the whole 5th grade together for one last picture. Parents/visitors will not be allowed on the playground due to having the entire student body out at that time.

Make Explore part of your summer plans

This summer, Explore will offer students exciting opportunities to pursue their unique interests and passions. Each day will be packed with engaging, relevant and personal learning opportunities, including free Artworks classes.

There will be two sessions of Explore. Session I is scheduled for June 7-30. Session II will be held July 7-July 30.

Students in grades 3 through 8 have the opportunity to enroll in free Artworks classes at two locations—Cowden Elementary School or Sequiota Elementary School.

Elementary students will attend Explore classes Monday through Friday from 8:50 a.m. to 3:20 p.m. (except Pershing, 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.). Wilder students will attend Explore at Pershing. Registration is now open.

Middle school students will attend Explore classes Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Registration for middle school students begins March 3.

High school students may register for Explore classes beginning March 1.

Register for Explore classes at www.sps.org/Explore.
