Israeli-Palestinian Land Conflict
By Krish Kotadia & Timothy Jeong
Israelis believe that the land was promised to them by God according to the Torah. The Torah is the holy text for Judaism. The Jews believe that Zionism is right and the Jews should have their own land. They think that there should be a state for Jews, but not a Jewish State.
Israelis are mainly Jewish, and believe in Jesus. They believe in the prophet's words and that God's words are recorded in a holy book called the Torah. Their religion is called Judaism, it's followers are called Jews. There is also a book with holy stories and such called the Talmud.
Palestinians believe that the land belongs to them because the British promised them the land during the time the Ottoman Empire was still standing. Also, the Palestinians were kicked out of their houses in present-day Israel, and were forced to move to refugee camps. Now these people want their land back because it was originally theirs.
Most Palestinians are Sunni Muslim and believe in Allah. Allah is arabic for "Surrender" because they surrender to Allah. The holy text for Sunni Muslims is the Quran. Quran can be spelled differently depending on who and where the person is writing from. Their religion is Islam, and it's followers are called Muslims. The stories of God and other things are in the Hadith.
