Mrs. Frantom’s class is ending up unit on volcanoes with students making them. Ms. Parker & Mrs. Beam’s classes will be working through multiple hands-on review activities for our semester exams.

The test will include the following topics: Order of operations, exponents, and prime factorization Properties of operations (inverse, identity, commutative, associative, and distributive) One-variable one-step equations Area of rectangles, parallelograms, trapezoids, and triangles Volume of right rectangular prisms Graph points on all four quadrants using ordered pairs Converting measurements Mean, median, mode, range, interquartile range Relative frequency Dot plots, stem-and-leaf plots, histograms, and box plots

The test will include the following topics: volume, surface area, Pythagorean theorem, transformations, dilations, scatter plots, and interest. Accelerated students will test on Thursday, June 1. It’s been a wonderful year getting to know each of you! Have a great summer.
Humanities ~ Mrs. Moore, Ms. Lindamood, and Mrs. Strother
- World Cultures is studying is Australia and preparing for final exams.
- Language Arts is reading City of Ember and Percy Jackson: The Lightning Theif.
- Ms. Strother's GT Students are continuing their study of drama through reading a script of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.
- Ms. Moore's GT students are comparing different generes to drama through reading a script of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.
Art ~ Mrs. Beam
Students will be completing our last unit for the semester. This is a choice based unit where students are exploring a concept and media that interests them. Students may begin taking their art kits home this week.
We will also begin reviewing for the semester exam at the end of the week. If your student would like to access the review at home, you can view the Google Slides here.
Beginning Band ~ Mr. Sypert
Having finished up our concert and completed next year’s placement auditions students will be checking in items, closing out lockers and getting information about next year’s band classes during this week.
P.E. ~ Coach Woolsey
Students will be allowed to choose their activities: Badminton, Flag Football, Kickball, Noodle Hockey, Volleyball, Soccer, Pickleball, Ultimate Frisbee, Lacrosse, and more! Students will be reminded about summer opportunities for those that will be in athletics next year. Please continue to dress out in PE uniform and bring water EVERYDAY!!!
