RbD Tuning-up Our Technique

Are you ready for a refresher? Do you still have some questions about certain elements of the program? You are not alone!

Join me on June 9th or July 11th as we revisit the lesson components of Reading by Design while reflecting on our current practice. Delivery method fundamentals associated with each component will be reviewed with time-saving tips and management techniques woven in throughout the session.

Each participant will need to bring:

  • RbD Volumes 1-5
  • 1 complete set of card decks

Errata for Volumes 1-4 Now Available

Jan Cook, one of the authors of Reading by Design has shared correction documentation for the first four volumes of Reading by Design. I recommend that you download these pages on single sheets, so that you can simply cut apart and glue these edits directly in your teacher manuals.

Any changes to the reproducible masters have been updated in the Region 4 Hub.

Region 4 is offering a program to become a Certified Structured Literacy Dyslexia Interventionist through the Reading by Design Accredited Pathway. Teachers who have complete the RbD 5-day training are eligible to participate in the 1-year, 90 hour program. Reading Interactives

In September, the Reading by Design Interactives (which are accessed through the HUB) become a paid tool. Free access will be through September 2022. At that time, the cost will be $75.00 per teacher for a yearly subscription for use of the interactive tools. Access these tools through the Region 4 Hub with your RbD password. You will find a link to the interactive tools on the page where you access your digital student pages.
