What Seniors Should be Doing Now
-See the attached document for financial aid resources and links!
-For students who were identified via email and postal letter regarding the GA Grant through the State of MD, all documentation is due by April 1st! If you do not submit all of the items on your to-do list in your MDCaps account by that date, you will forfeit the money! See Ms. Campbell immediately with any help needed!
-For students who have been admitted to a college, you should be receiving your financial aid packages from the college soon! Read them CAREFULLY and realize that colleges often calculate student and parent loans into the equation, even if that was not your plan!
-For students planning on attending CCBC in the Fall, apply online if you have your SS# or get a paper application from the Counseling Office. http://www.ccbcmd.edu/Get-Started/Applying-to-CCBC.aspx
-Still interested in attending a 4 year college but missed the deadline? Consider applying to a school with rolling admissions. These schools accept students as the applications come in until a particular date or they have reached their quota of students for their freshman class. https://www.niche.com/colleges/search/top-rolling-admissions-colleges/s/maryland/
-Keep up the hard work in your classes! 2 more months to go! Make sure you are good to go on graduation requirements like your service learning hours. See your school counselor if you are not sure!
What Juniors Should be Doing Now
-Make sure that you are registered for any AP tests you wish to take. The deadline for registration is Thursday, March 21, at 11:59 p.m. All AP students received information about the registration process in their AP classes. Registration is done online through Total Registration. The link to register, as well as more information about the process, is available on here: http://perryhallhs.bcps.org/students/a_p_program___exam_registration
-Visit colleges! Now is a great time to hit up some Spring Open Houses or schedule a tour while college is in session. See below for some local Open Houses.
-Consider and sign up for what you will do this summer to boost your resume - A volunteer activity? A part-time job? A summer camp?
-Below is a link to the Junior College Application Packet that was shared at the Junior College Night in February. Please email Ms. Campbell at mailto:scampbell3@bcps.org if you are in need of a Naviance code.

ASVAB Test
The ASVAB is a multiple-aptitude battery that measures developed abilities and helps predict future academic and occupational success in the military. It is administered annually to more than one million military applicants, high school, and post-secondary students. We are planning on giving the online version, which takes less than 2 hours, but will take the paper and pencil longer version should complications arise with the technology. Any students interested in taking this test need to return this permission slip to either Mr. Strazzire or their school counselor by March 15th, 2019. (See below for permission slip). We will issue passes for you to attend the test after you have handed in your slip. We can only take the first 30 students who hand in their permission slips.
