Bulldog Bulletin
New Britton Elementary - November 18, 2016
Principal's Message
Dear Bulldog Families,
November is a time in which we reflect upon things for which we are thankful. There are SO MANY things to be thankful for when thinking about New Britton Elementary. Every day I am thankful to be the leader of this amazing school community. Thank you for sharing your children with us so that we can help guide them as they grow as learners and children.
As part of our 25th year recognition, Mr. Martin invited second grade students to create a video in which they shared things they are thankful for in regards to New Britton. Here are just a couple of things they shared:
"I am thankful for awesome teachers at NBE."
By E. Hower
"I am thankful for writing at NBE because I love to write."
By M. Snapp
I am also thankful for our teachers and support staff. The number of smiles, kind words, academic and social supports, and guidance provided to our students and families on a daily basis is so appreciated. And finally I am thankful for our parents and families. Without your partnership and support, we would not see the tremendous growth of your children throughout the year.
A wonderful way to help your student's interest in science grow is to attend our Science Fair Kickoff on Tuesday, November 29 from 7:00-8:00 p.m. Professor Steve will be making a return visit to NBE to WOW our students with science experiments they can do at home and to inspire them to question and think deeply about the science behind things. Our annual NBE Science Fair will be held on Thursday, February 16th. Science Fair participants must be in grades 1-4, but ALL New Britton students are invited to attend our Science Fair Kickoff. Many of our kindergarten teachers use this kickoff as an opportunity to then conduct some related science experiments in class. We hope to see you all at this family event.
As always, thank you for partnering with us in education! Have a safe and relaxing Thanksgiving.
Sincerely,
Lori Mankin
