Where the Adventure Begins...
Happy Friday!
Hello families! We've wrapped up another week in the best place on earth! I can hardly believe it, but we have 904 students that we have the privilege of serving right now and we have many students on the way! I wonder if this will be the year that we hit 1000 students! I love it. It means that we are reaching more families in our community, and able to help more students get ahead of the game before starting Kindergarten! If you have friends or neighbors with little ones at home, please encourage them to see if their child would qualify to attend as well! Summer registration information will be posted on our campus website soon with great information!
Did you see those great pictures up above? Often times, teachers want to purchase really cool, engaging materials for our students but either the vendor is not approved, or we just don't have the funds to do it. That didn't stop Ms. Rainey, Mrs. Fleming, or Mrs. Friedman! They got crafty and creative and made their own light up sensory table for their students! The students are so engaged and are increasing their social interactions with each other! Way to go you three! I think I might need to go play too!
Planned, purposeful play is the best way to engage and teach our youngest learners, and our teachers and assistants are MASTERFUL at doing just that. They make learning so fun, and I am in awe of the great work they do!
Just a quick reminder that next week we have picture day on Tuesday and we have NO SCHOOL on Friday! It's going to be a quick, but fantastic week!

I Want to Hear From YOU!
Many of you have posted comments, suggestions or questions on my Parent Padlet. Thank you! It is one of the ways for me to stay connected with you and allows other parents to see your questions. You never know when someone else is wondering the same thing. The cool thing is that it is completely anonymous! So post away and I will be sure to respond.

As the end of the school year approaches, we start getting a lot of questions regarding Kindergarten registration. After Spring Break, our Data Clerk will be sending you a letter verifying your home address and email address. This will help us in ensuring that all of your child’s registration documents get sent to the correct campus. She will give instructions on what steps need to be completed. Starting sometime in May, the district will send email SnapCodes for 2018-2019 school year.
Our campus will also be hosting a Tool Time session focused on Getting Ready for Kindergarten on March 23rd at 8:30 a.m. If you would like to attend, please make sure to RSVP by March 7th. The flyer is below.
The Counselor's Corner
Fibs, little white lies, untruths…there are lots of ways to label lies. Before the age of 10, most children have difficulty understanding the difference between reality and fantasy. Their perception of what is being said might be different from what is understood. For our young preschoolers, it’s a good idea to guide them in order to promote honesty.
· Do not call your child a liar, instead, look for ways to redirect their behavior.
· Do not pressure your child to discuss a situation you already know the answer to. This may pressure them to lie.
· Be honest with your child. If they are spinning a tail that is hard to believe, let them know you don’t understand.
· Be consistent with rules and expectations.
