Valley High School Update
Demonstrating the Valley Standard in the 4 A's
September 2, 2022
Greetings!
What a great week at Valley High School! We have our first full week under our belts, and our students and teachers have been doing an excellent job. Students have been very responsible with remembering their IDs coming into the building and at lunch, and have acclimated to our building policies. The beginning of the school year is the perfect time to create new habits; we are getting to class on time, engaging with the learning, and participating in our environment.
Just a reminder this is a three-day weekend, and when we return on Tuesday, September 6, it will be an 8 period day.
Go Tigers!!!
ACADEMICS
Tuesday is an 8 period day.
This is the perfect time to establish positive habits and routines for school success! Let's focus on being to class on time and practicing 4CP (Critical Thinking, Continuous Learning, Communication, Collaboration and Professionalism) in all of our classes and interactions.
In order to make sure we have a safe building for our kids and staff, beginning Monday, IDs are necessary to 1.) enter the building and 2.) eat lunch.
- If students forget their ID, they will either need to retrieve it from their car or home before entering the building.
- If they lose their ID, they will be escorted to the office for a new ID. The $5.00 cost will be assigned to their fee statement.
Valley High School is a closed campus. Students are not allowed to leave school in the middle of the day if they have an open period. The only students allowed to leave during the day are seniors for their 30 minute lunch.
