January 2022
Happy New Year!!! 2022 is going to be a great year for reading, creating, and learning new ways to utilize our library space. I am looking at ways that we can maximize the space and serve more students simultaneously. I hope you all had a restful and relaxing Christmas and New Year break. I enjoyed my family, my friends, my dogs, and sleeping in a little later. However, I love coming back and seeing all of my 7th and 8th graders. We are halfway through the school year and I am excited about the opportunities ahead. I have a cart full of new books that I am processing to get on the shelves. Also, I am looking at our series books that need to be updated. Hope your January is full of new reading adventures!

About Mrs. Harper
I am the librarian at BBJH. This is my 4th year in the library and my 21st year in education. I have taught science, ELA and I was an academic advisor at The University of Tulsa. I am originally from Oklahoma--graduated from Comanche High School and Oklahoma City University. I graduated with my Master's Degree in Library & Information Science from SHSU in August 2020. I'm married to Joe, I'm Grady and Whitney's mom, and I have three awesome dogs- Gus, Chief and Maggie. I love to watch sports, listen to music, run and hike with my dogs, read books, discover new technology tools and toys, and travel.
