Pratt's Primary Corner
Weekly Update- January 12, 2017
Week at a Glance
Reading- We started a new read aloud- Wonder. I'm excited about the conversations regarding empathy that will arise from reading this book! We have also discussed main idea and done some reading about Martin Luther King Jr.
Math- We are on Unit 4 for math, which is heavily focused on time and measurement. I am so impressed with how much students already know about time.
Science/Social Studies- This week we discussed Martin Luther King Jr. and the impact he had, and still has, on the world. For science we will begin a unit on circuits the week after next.
Writing- We are starting a new writing unit and taking a deep dive into informational texts. Students began the unit by making a list of things they feel they are an expert at, and could teach others.
MAP Testing
