Dear Parents/Guardians of Third Grade Students:
Massachusetts Department of Public Health Regulations and Petersham Center School’s policy require that all students have a physical examination in fourth grade. A copy of that examination needs to be placed in their school health record.
Please make an appointment with your child’s physician for the exam to be completed by June 2019. An exam any time between May 2018 and June 2019 will meet this requirement.
If you or your doctor would like the Massachusetts School Health Record form please call or email me (mrswarburton@petershamcenterschool.org) to request that the form is sent home with your child.
Please check that the immunization record is updated to include any immunizations that were given since the kindergarten physical.
You can send the completed physical form to school or mail it to my attention:

If you have any questions, please call or email me. Thank you in advance for your attention to this very important matter.
PCS' Citizen of the Month Program
The Pillars of Character Education
Petersham Center School is going to emphasize the Pillars of Character Education: Compassion, Fairness, Integrity, Perseverance, Responsibility, Respect, and Self-Discipline for our Citizen of the Month Program. Below is a brief description of each remaining pillars for this school year.
At each Student Assembly, a student will be announced from each class who was an exemplary model of the pillar of the month, given a certificate signed by the Principal, their picture will be hung in the cafeteria, and a PCS Citizen of the Month cinch bag.
April: RESPECT
Treat others with respect how you want to be treated, the Golden Rule • Be tolerant and accepting of differences • Use good manners, not bad language • Be considerate of the feelings of others • Don’t threaten, hit or hurt anyone • Deal peacefully with anger, insults, and disagreements
May: SELF-DISCIPLINE
Always do your share, always work your hardest, change poor habits, always consider the consequences and make the most the responsible decisionsMarch Citizen of the Month - 5th grade

Request for Frosting Containers from Mrs. T
Hello families! I am looking for donations of empty & clean frosting containers to help organize small cards for learning centers. The small Betty Crocker or Dunkin Heinz or Pillbury frosting containers are the perfect size. I need about 100. If you have any, please drop them off at the office or send them in with your child.
Many, many thank yous!
Mrs.Thompson
A note from Mrs. Hanna to the fifth grade families:
It's been a lot of fun preparing and rehearsing this skit, and we think you will find it amusing. We kept it simple, but that only makes the story more enjoyable.
Hope to see you there! Please enter through the ramp door to sign in.
