Transformational leaders understand that a holistic approach must be used when trying to implement change. For example, Lezotte in Seven Correlates of Highly Effective Schools recommends that all 7 correlates be addressed at one time. Campus culture, high expectations of adults and students, instructional intensity, and family-school relations have such importance that juggling all at the same time is not a choice, but requirement.
