Quotes of the Year

  • Y6 pupil: "Year 1 is good, but just you wait, school keeps getting better and better every year."

  • Parent: “I have never seen such an AMAZING and wonderful school nativity performance! Thank you so much!

  • Parent: "The range of races and events was brilliant, something for everyone. Great fast-paced atmosphere, really upbeat. I absolutely LOVE seeing the track painted out on that field - wonderful to have a longer race for the sportier/older children. Mr. Hurkett is amazing and all the staff were so lovely to watch, you can see the great rapport and care they have with/for the children. Also great to have the PTA there with cold things for sale."

2. Carnival

WOW! What a special way to celebrate the end of the year. Thank you to all who were able to join us.

If you took video of the drumming or dance performances and are happy to share it with the school for our records, please contact Mrs Allman. As ever, we would like to remind you not to share footage or images of other people’s children on your social media.

3. Leavers' Collective Worship

It was wonderful to see so many of you in the Church on Thursday; thank you for coming along.

The Y6 pupils read prayers and shared their memories of their time at Bardwell and each received a Bardwell Cog's award, a bible, and a holding cross. Josh F was also awarded the Cog Champion 'Roll of Honour' for his above and beyond approach to school life at Bardwell - please enjoy holding the award during the summer holiday Josh, then return it to school in September where we will keep it on display for other pupils to be inspired by!

We were also delighted to receive a new cross for our Collective Worship, which was made by Lucy.

The instruments we teach are as follows:
