Matanzas High School Weekly Update
May 26, 2023
Thank you Matanzas and Request
From the bottom of my heart, I thank the parents and legal guardians for a great year at Matanzas High School. We are looking forward to spending the summer hiring teachers and staff, moving classrooms, participating in professional learning and getting the facility ready to welcome our 2,000+ Pirates back to "The Ship" on August 10th. We have so many exciting things on the horizon for the 2023-2024 school year including the start of the construction of our school expansion as we continue to grow as a school.
As we wrap up the 2022-2023 school year, we would like to collect feedback from our families, students and staff members about Matanzas High School so that we can improve policies, procedures and practices to make MHS the best school that it can be. I ask that you take a few minutes to fill out the parent/legal guardian survey below to provide feedback about your experience this year at MHS. We ask that you complete this survey by June 5th so that our leadership team can reflect and plan for 23-24. We also ask you to pass along the link to the student survey so that we can hear and respond to our student voices as well.

Summer Community Service Opportunities at MHS
Matanzas is seeking student volunteers to help with various projects around campus this summer including organizing the textbook room, helping teachers move classrooms, get ready for orientation, and more. If you are available this summer and interested in earning Community Service Hours, please complete the Google Form below to get on our mailing list. When we have days that we will need students for projects, we will send out an email and a Remind text message for volunteers.
