Newton's Third Law
The Law of Action/ Reaction
Newton's Third Law
Newton's third law is: For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. The statement means that in every interaction, there is a pair of forces acting on the two interacting objects. The size of the forces on the first object equals the size of the force on the second object.
How Liza and Brunello use Newton's 3rd law of motion.
Brunello (Ike) is an amazing and powerful horse. He can easily clear fences of 4'6" with room to spare. But without Newton's 3rd law of motion he wouldn't go very far, and neither would Liza. Newton's 3rd states that for every action there is a equal and opposite reaction. So, whenever Ike snaps his knees up tight to his nose and pushes off the ground with his powerful hindquarters, he's demonstrating this by his push on the Earth push back with a equal force which propels him forward.
How Bezzie and Authentic demonstrate Newton's 3rd law of motion.
When Authentic pushes off the ground, the ground pushes back with an equal but opposite force. This demonstrates Newton's 3rd law in a nut shell perfectly.
