SCHOOL DISTRICT GOALS:
Capital Project Update
Plans for the shop addition are close to being finalized, and we have scheduled a contractor for our ES roof project to be completed this summer.
Stewardship
On Tuesday, the district had a late start because of freezing rain. Early morning reports were that many places outside of the valley floor had freezing rain making the roads very hazardous. Also, the County could not get to the roads in time for our school bus routes. Our buses are equipped to handle a lot of snow, but freezing rain is something that they can not handle well.
District Culture and Climate
The secretaries held their monthly meeting on Wednesday. Each meeting begins with a leadership spotlight provided by one of the secretaries in the group. This month, Sarah Prock talked about self-care and the importance of having fun and laughing. A Christmas Light/Tree/Happy Hanukkah challenge came out of the meeting to all district staff to share/post anything to brighten our lives. I appreciate the secretaries and the front-line work they do to boost both students’ and staff’s morale.
