ACE's Month of Impact and Alpha Beta Phi: September
You can learn more about ACE's Month of Impact here.
Throughout the month, you can participate in and share impact actions ranging from donating to a charity or non-profit, volunteering your time, or making a lifestyle change to live more sustainably.
Share your Impact!
If you are able to contribute and make an impact in your community this month, please send us an email and let us know how you made an impact. You can even share a picture with us to show what you contributed towards. We want to celebrate the service of our chapter members and recognize the impact we can make.
Share on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn or Instagram using #ACEMonthofImpact or email your stories and photos to AlphaBetaPhi@ace.edu
Ronald McDonald House Charities
As a Board, we have identified Ronald McDonald House Charities® as a worthwhile organization to support. We invite you to make an impact through a donation of time, wish list items, or a charitable contribution. Ronald McDonald House Charities® provides comfort, care, and support for families of hospitalized children. Currently, there are 386 Chapters around the world. To learn more about the Chapter in your community: Find a Chapter | RMHC
- Charitable Contribution - When you donate online at Donate | RMHC , you have the option of supporting a Chapter in your community or you can donate directly on your local Chapter’s website.
- Wish List Donations – Many Chapters have an Amazon Wishlist on their website which provides an easy way to support the Chapter by purchasing their most needed items. The items you choose to purchase through the Chapter’s Amazon link will be delivered directly to the Chapter.
- Gift of Time – Most Chapters offer group volunteer activities such as creating a meal to serve to guest families. Chapters may require a monetary donation to cover the cost of the food items needed to prepare the meal. Families look forward to a home-cooked meal and this is a great way to see first-hand the impact of Ronald McDonald House®. Check your local Chapter’s website for available opportunities.
Our Alpha Beta Phi Board is also currently looking into other worthwhile organizations and as we approve, we will pass along other great ideas as well.
Looking Ahead
In September, we will host our Chapter member meeting!
Our next member meeting will be September 12th at 7pm EST. In September we will begin hosting new member inductions at the start of each Chapter meeting so the time frame has been extended from 30 to 45 minutes. A Zoom calendar invitation was sent but here is a link as well:
