The Effects of Alcohol
Why drink it if it harms you?
Alcohol may be fun, but is it really?
Alcohol may be used a a resource to "have fun" or "let loose", but do you really understand the major health problems it can cause? Sure, alcohol may be a fun resource to use to a certain point but to an extent, it can cause organ failure and slow down the body significantly. Would you really risk the chance of harming your body significantly, or learn to have fun without the effects of drugs or alcohol?
Alcohol and pregnancy do not mix
Alcohol and pregnancy are fierce enemies. If you drink while pregnant not only are you harming yourself, but you are also harming your child. Drinking while pregnant causes birth defects such as Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (FAS). Fetal alcohol syndrome is a very serious matter; your child will suffer to learn at a normal pace, have a lower iq than the average child, facial abnormalities, etc. Would you rather have a child that can be normal, or make your child suffer socially, mentally, and physically?
Alcohol Abuse/Binge drinking
Alcohol has become a serious health issue over the years. Alcohol abuse and binge drinking are among the most dangerous ways of drinking alcohol. Binge drinking is drinking a large amount of alcohol in a short amount of time. This has become more popular with the younger generation but is still a problem for every generation. Alcohol abuse is the equivalent to being addicted to alcohol. Not only are these dangerous amounts of alcohol being consumed, it most likely leads to serious health problems and sometimes death. Why put something in your body that harms you?
