Coupeville School District
The CONNECT - March 2023
Hello, Coupeville Community!
As we navigate our way through the second half of the school year, I have decided to start sending out electronic newsletters. In each newsletter I will provide you a variety of district updates to keep you connected with our school district. If you have topics of interest you would like us to cover in future newsletters or have any questions about the district please contact me at: sking@coupeville.k12.wa.us
I am truly thankful for the wonderful community support that our school district enjoys and I want to make sure that we are regularly updating you on the great things that are happening in the Coupeville School District.

Instructional Materials Update
After a few years of no curriculum reviews the district has reinstated the Instructional Materials Committee (IMC). The committee has been meeting regularly since the beginning of the school year. So far we have updated our CSD Curriculum Review Schedule and have begun the work of reviewing our math curriculum. Before any curriculum is adopted there will be a "Citizen Access to View" so that we can get input from our parents and community members. We will notify you when we open the window for your input. To see the details on our Curriculum review and adoption process please see our policy and procedure.
Executive Director of Finance & Human Resources
Denise Peet, our Director of Finance & HR for the past decade, announced her retirement. Congratulations Denise! To fill this critical district position we are sharing this link to the job posting. Please share with anyone who may be interested.
Community Dinner & State Of The District Meeting
Please join us for our Community Dinner with a "State Of The District" presentation afterwards at 6:30 pm in the Performing Arts Center. During the presentation Superintendent King will share important district updates, answer questions, and get feedback from all those who attend.
