Perseverance-The Key to Success
By: Madi Firnett
My Definition of Perseverance
Perseverance, steady persistence in a course of action especially in spite of difficulties, obstacles, or discouragement. Perseverance is the one thing that can help you through adversities. Perseverance is knowing that when you finally overcome that adversity the outcome is worth those hard times. The key to success is perseverance.
Jackie Robinson(problem and solution)
The problem in the story "The Noble Experiment" by Jackie Robinson was that no one believed in African American rights. African Americans could not do many things that whites could do. For example African Americans could not play baseball, but playing in the MLB was Jackie Robinsons dream. To make his dream a reality, Jackie Robinson did many things. Jackie got a very powerful man, Branch Rickey, to help him though the process. He joined a team with some players that believed in African Americans having rights. When Branch Rickey was helping Jackie he showed much resilience. When people would say bad things, Jackie's solution was to ignore it. He would not yield to them just because they threw a bean ball at his head.

415 Strong(chronological order/sequence)
Group members of 415 Strong took many steps together to overcome their adversities. First, people that were injured in the bombing decided to join the group 415 Strong, with hopes of getting better. Second, they went through physical therapy to get back into good physical condition. Next, they talked to each other about their adversities. They only felt comfortable talking with each other about their adversities because everyone went through the same thing. After getting back into a good physical and mental state, they trained almost every day with each other for the race. The final step was to run the race. Running past the bombing scene helped many people suppress their adversity.

Learning from others Perseverance
We can learn many things from other perseverance and even their adversities. Seeing the outcome of these peoples perseverance can inspire us. We can see that even when you go through all these hard times the outcome is worth it. We can learn that in the end everything will eventually work out no matter how many times you fail.
