Divine Providence School
Family and School Connection
Welcome to the new school year!
We also welcome new staff members to our academic team. Mrs. Brennan will be teaching one of the pre-kindergarten classes, Mrs. Southerton will teach 2nd grade, Mrs. Sautariello will teach 4th grade, and Mrs. Antikauskas will be the aide in pre-kindergarten with Mrs. Brennan. Watch for more information about our new teachers in the next few weeks!
Of course we also welcome Fr. Marcin as the new pastor of Divine Infant Jesus and Divine Providence Parish.
Meet our new principal- Mrs. LeTourneau
My name is Lynn LeTourneau and I am excited and honored to be the new principal at Divine Providence School. I have learned about the strong faith and academics Divine Providence School has and I am happy to be part of this team.
I am a product of the Archdiocese of Chicago School system. I come to Divine Providence with over 20 years of experience in Catholic Schools. I began as an 8thgrade Math teacher in the Diocese of Joliet and later assumed the position of Principal at St. Andrew the Apostle in Romeoville. My most recent Principal experience is coming from Our Lady of Charity School in Cicero. I live in LaGrange and am married with three daughters- Erin (16), Renee (13) and Lisa (7). We love pets at our home, which currently come in at a total of 7, including our beloved dog, Lacy, and our goldfish named “Tuppy”. In my spare time, I love to make crafts and garden (although I am not very good at it). Update- my cherry tomatoes did really well this summer, but unfortunately my cucumbers did not do well.
You are your child’s first teacher and your child’s faith began in your arms. I understand the strong bond a school needs to have with a family and I believe a strong component of this is communication. I am also enthusiastic to begin to work with the amazing staff at Divine Providence School. Together I am eager to work with them to learn more about the Catholic Identity of the school, curriculum, and traditions.
I am here to help students grow in so many different ways by being a strong spiritual leader and academic leader. I look forward to getting to know your child.

ACT Aspire 2019
New Science Curriculum!
Students will hypothesize models or problems presented from there everyday world. Students will perform experiments to pursue methods of scientific inquiry to gather data and evidence. Collecting data will then allow the students to draw their own conclusions. The students will be studying various units each year. The units designed for grades 6-8 are the following: Engineering, Life, Earth & Space, and Physical Science Modules. We are so excited about implementing this new program to our middle school students. The DP curriculum will also include the IJAS 8th Grade Science Fair and Science Olympiads per trimester. It is always great to be a DP Crusader!
