FFA VICTORIOUS AT VIRTUAL STATE FAIR
Chandler FFA competed in the Virtual State Fair Livestock show and did an outstanding job. Three Chandler FFA members placed in the beef cattle division. Congratulations to the following:
· Riana Alexander for winning the Champion Angus at the Arizona State Fair. Murphy is an Angus steer that weighs 800lbs.
· Annabelle Williams for winning the Grand Champion Reserve Feeder at the Arizona State Fair. Butterscotch is a crossbreed steer that weighs 700lbs.
· Chandra Andazola for placing 3rd in the Prospect Beef Division of the Arizona State Fair. Blanco is a Charolais Steer that weighs 850 lbs.
SWIM NEWS
CHS Swim and Dive is heading to State! Congratulations to Kable Moore for qualifying in diving last Friday.
On Saturday, during the state qualifier, Ian Hirota (pictured) broke the CHS school record (previously set by Mark Jurek in 2014) in the 100 Breaststroke with a time of 58.89.
The following swimmers qualified in individual events and will compete at the state meet this Friday: Ian Hirota, Nolan Jenks, Trey Hesser, Hannah Ernst, Sarah Plant, and Sasha Gesner
In addition, both the boys and the girls team qualified in 2 different relays, so we will have lots of Wolves representing at the state meet!
Also, last week the school board approved to name the pool after Kerry Croswhite. On December 5th there will be a dedication ceremony at the newly named Kerry Croswhite Aquatic Center.

CASH FOR CLASSROOMS
This week our school is participating in the annual Chandler Education Foundation's #CashForClassrooms campaign which funds enrichment grants for classrooms and schools across Chandler Unified School District. RED RIBBON WEEK
Last week was Red Ribbon Week, and students and staff showed support in keeping others drug-free by wearing red on Wednesday. Students also wrote down their future goals and why drugs have no place in their future.
PLAY AUDITIONS
CHS Theatre's Winter Play "A Christmas Carol: A Radio Play" auditions are coming! Practicing COVID safety procedures, CHS Theatre will be holding auditions for the beloved classic tale of finding redemption on November 2 & 3 (performance is December 5). Check Ms. Stephanie Likes' webpage for digital audition packet or pick one up in the Drama Room.
Boys Basketball
Tryouts for boys basketball begin next week. In order to participate in tryouts, you must be cleared through Register My Athlete (registermyathlete.com). If you are not cleared, you cannot participate. You can pick up the paperwork for Register My Athlete in the athletic office (113 in Old Main). If you have any questions, please contact Coach Rother or Coach Darr.

If you are interested in joining wrestling please stop by room 506 for more information. There is no experience necessary and everyone will get the opportunity to compete. Wrestling is a great way to improve your all-around athleticism. So, if you are not playing any sports this winter or got cut from a sport come out and give it a try.
CARE CENTER DONATIONS DUE THIS FRIDAY
As in years past, it’s time for CHS teams, clubs, departments, and community members to come together and support others through donations to the Chandler CARE Center. Check out the attachment below for more info.
There’s no doubt the Wolves will continue to make a difference. Community donations are due no later than this Friday, November 6th and can be dropped off in the front office.
The CARE Center is also asking for donations of new, unwrapped toys and/or gift cards to distribute in December.

LATE BUS AND TUTORING
If you are assigned to a bus route and want to stay for tutoring or work in the JSU after school, the late bus is available Monday through Thursday at 4:00pm. You must have a pass from CHS staff to stay for tutoring (available from 2:14-4:00) and ride the bus. Pick-up for the late bus is in the bus lane in front of Payne Gym. The bus leaves at 4:00 so don’t be late!

Hello CUSD graduating senior students/parents! You are invited to participate in our upcoming FAF$A Open Lab Nights! We have limited appointment slots available per 30-minute time increments, due to social distancing guidelines. You are welcome to attend at any site below, on any date that works best for you. Please select one appointment time slot per student at the time/date of your choosing.
