Volleyball Intramural
CMS students have the opportunity to sign up for intramurals before school starts and play various team sports throughout the year. The first team sport played this year was Beach Volleyball. The 5th Grade Champions were: Timberlee LeDuc, Zoe Britt, Payton Breese, Gavin Massell, Gracey Drury, Ryan Boden, and Braden Primeaux. The 6th Grade Champions were Georgia Trost, Daniel Vines, Wade Kindel, Lance Howard, Alan Garcia, Michael Ashland, Christian Widen, and Madison Star. On Tuesday, November 22nd the 5th and 6th grade Beach Volleyball Champs played the CHS 2nd place State Volleyball Champions in the High School Gym. The 5th grade tried different strategies to win, but fell short with a score of 18-14. The 6th grade put up a good game against the High School Volleyball Team with some good serves, but also fell short a few points with a score of 19-11. Great Job to both teams!
Chili Dog Feed
The Chilidog party was held by our teacher Mr. Hutchison, and other teacher in 5th grade Mrs. Kelly. You had a choice to eat chili, hot dogs, or chili-dogs. He had cheese, Fritos, and buns. He also provided bowls, plates and silverware. Mr. Hutch cooked the food and he brought us up in groups depending on what we wanted to eat. For our drink we had Capri suns. Since it was a girl named Gracey Drury’s Birthday she handed out a choice of cookies, puppy chow, and peanut butter treats for dessert.
The other two classes did not have a Chili dog Party, it was only Kelly’s class and Hutch’s class did.. To get to the Chilidog you have to know your multiplication facts up to ten. You have to mark off your name so that your teacher can know if you passed them. If you pass your multiplication facts up to ten you can go on to 11’s, 12’s, 13’s, 14’s, and 15’s. We both made the Chili Dog Party. The food at the chili-dog party was delicious. We both enjoyed the Chili Dog Party, and we are glad we made it.

PET ROCKS
By Easton and Emalee
I think the pet rock project was fun. The idea was kind of silly. We found a rock. We had to create a habitat for our new pet. We put items inside of the habitat. We also had to name it and write down care instructions. We also had to write two paragraph paper describing the rock, how to care for it, what will happen to it in the future and if we liked the project.
We learned about some of the fads of the 1960’s, how to describe a simple object, and be creative.
