Softball Update!
The softball season is off to a rainy start. The JV and Varsity teams managed to get a few games in between the rain, and a couple while it rained.
At the JV level, EmmaGrace Humbert has done a fantastic job pitching. She cut down the number of walks she gave up each game she pitched. Bri Vezzose is doing fantastic behind the plate catching. She made several incredible stops to prevent runs and stolen bases and does great communicating with the rest of the team. Izzy Widger and Shayla Wilson made several great catches in the outfield to get outs. Skylar Fox is doing great in right field. She fielded the ball cleanly several times to prevent runners from advancing. Hannah Mathes is doing great at shortstop, she is not afraid to move to the ball to prevent it from going through to the outfield and made several key catches. Abby Nelson is doing great on first base. She connected with several other teammates for outs. Grace King has been hitting very well. She has several singles and doubles, as well as many RBI’s. Dani Bray is another leader on offence. She has several hits this season, and has been a key factor in advancing runners.
At the Varsity level, Morgan VanFleet made a lot of improvements pitching. She has been very consistent and accurate the past few games. Sophie Roberts and Shelby Cuturia are doing great at second base and shortstop respectively. Both made several key stops for outs. Taylor Malchoff is doing great behind the plate. She made several stops to prevent runs and consistently tries to pick off runners with her strong arm. Offensively, Mercedes Crum is doing great. She has several singles, doubles, and RBI’s. Jess Johnson is another offensive leader. She has several triples and RBI’s.
Congrats to Everyone Who Participated in Cabaret Night!
