The Leonards ( dad, James, mom, Jessica, son, Jayden, daughter, Josephine and son, Julian) moved here in July from New Mexico. They have been involved with CC for 10 years. When they received their household goods 2 weeks ago, it was wet and molded. As a result, the Air Force inspector and mold specialist have deemed that all of their household goods are a complete loss. The only items they now own are the items that they packed and brought with them. Their youngest son, Julian has cancer, Neuroblastoma, and has already gone through treatments and chemotherapy when he was younger. The week they moved here, they were in Children's Hospital in Denver with complications Julian was undergoing from the cancer. I am creating a Sign-Up Genius list in order to bless this family at this huge time of need. (clothing and gift cards for groceries, etc.). Please encourage all to ONLY donate NEW items. They had to vacate their new home as the mold spores had already started growing inside the home with only half of the shipment delivered. All the carpet in their new house must be removed, etc. They are currently in a hotel.) Please consider sending this list to other directors I may have missed. The Sign Up Genius list will come in a separate email. I have placed a date of Saturday, October 22 on the signup sheet. Would you please consider having all donations brought to you and I will arrange to pick up all donations from you on the weekend of October 22 or at a time that is convenient for you. I wholeheartedly appreciate your help with blessing the Leonards. In Christ, Claire
Pumpkin Patch Field Trip
The cost is $7.50 per child (kids 3 years and older). The cost includes a pumpkin and all attractions except pony rides and face painting. The cost for moms is $3 (does not include a pumpkin).
The pumpkin patch is open from 9 am - 5 pm. You can come at your convenience, just say you are with Classical Conversations. I plan to arrive around 10 am and will leave around 2 pm.
Come enjoy the slides, jumping pillow, gourd launchers, tractor hayrides, petting zoo, outdoor laser tag, and much more! See the website for all the details: http://coloradopumpkinpatch.net/.
You may bring your lunch, we have picnic tables reserved. They do have a concession stand if you would like to buy snacks there. Please RSVP, I need to give them a count.

October MNO
Hosted by Colleen....
Bring a appetizer, dessert or drink to share and we will have a clothing auction where all proceeds will go to a local charity for families. (I haven't decided which one yet but either Taskforce, Joshua Station, or Burma Refugees)
So this is how the auction works... (it's super fun!) bring 1 or more bags of gently used woman's clothes, purses or bags that you don't want but that you think other moms may want. We will set them up in different rooms, you will get time to "shop" then we'll auction off highly wanted items for $1-5 and all money will go to charity! If lots of items are left we'll let you shop for free too since in the past we typically have a TON of left over items. Hope many of you can join us!
*My husband will be hunting so if you want to bring older kids to hang out that is fine too*
