Homework Routine Tips
- Many students will have folders or assignment notebooks that need to be checked daily. Get your child in the habit of getting things out of their bags as soon as they get home.
- Important notes and information will come home in folders- so make sure you check them daily!
- When reviewing your child's papers or journals have them identify something they are proud of and something they could improve on. Reflection and keeping that mindset of growth is critical in supporting your child(ren).
AM Student Drop Off by Car
All students being dropped off by car should use the North Drive as much as possible. This allows students quick access to the cafeteria, gym and playground. If you use the Front Drive, drop offs must happen after 8:05 AM to avoid interfering with bus traffic.
PM Student Pick Up by Car
- K-2 Students will be picked up in front of the school.
- 3-5 Students will be picked up in the North Drive.
- Dismissal for car-riders follows bus loading at approximately 3:07 PM.
- K-2 students with older siblings in 3rd-5th grade will be picked up on the North side in our efforts to equalize traffic.
- REMINDER NO loading or unloading students on Congress St. Parents are not permitted to park and cross the street to pick up their child due to traffic and safety concerns.
- Overflow waiting for K-2 pickup will flow into Goodwill & NAPA's parking lot. Please do not block driveways to those businesses.
Changes in Transportation
- Please send a written note to your child(ren)'s teacher informing them of the change.
- Indicate on the note the name of anyone other than yourself that may be picking up your child.
- If the change happens during the school day, a call needs to be made by 2:00 PM in order to ensure communication and changes get to the teacher.
- Do NOT email transportation changes to your child's teacher.
