Senior Night 1/27
Last Thursday, January 27th, CCA hosted two home games against Training Center, and it was our CCA senior night. CCA has four seniors this year: Jessica, Lauren, Jon, and Mikhail. They were recognized during the evening, and the junior players presented them with some going away basketball gifts from the team. It was a good night for the Varsity Girls and boys, as both teams played great basketball and were victorious. We will miss our seniors next year, but wish them the best of luck in their future endeavors. --Marlee
Senior Spotlight
This month's senior spotlight is Mikhail. Mikhail has been at CCA for two years. He has enjoyed the relationships he has made at CCA, and he likes the opportunities he has been given here, especially in basketball. His parents are Bonnie and David Stevens. He has 12 siblings in total. He has two dogs whose names are Daisy and Rocky, a cat named Mochi, and a rabbit named Puddle. Mikhail plans to attend State Fair Community College, so he can use his A+ and get his Gen Ed’s out of the way. His favorite CCA memory is last year when it was Isaiah’s last day. Isaiah jumped up and hit his head on the top of a door frame. His favorite Bible verse is Revelation 21:6, “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life, freely.” Mikhail said the teacher that has had the biggest impact on him is Mr. Patterson. He said Mr. Patterson has influenced him spiritually. Mikhail plays basketball, soccer, and track. In his free time, Mikhail enjoys spending time with his pets and running. We will miss Mikhail next year! --Marlee
