2023-2024 DRILL TEAM SEASON HIGHLIGHTS
The first ever, Mears Drill Team (Pink Panthers) season is officially over. The team of 22 students performed November 17th at our all-school assembly with precision, poise, and positivity! Please check out the final performance video and give these girls a high 5 for their commitment (10 weeks of intense practice) and bravery for being the first ever drill team!
Special Thanks to Freeze Frame Photography and Ms. Natasha Webb for providing professional photography, make up, and personalized tee-shirts to make our team stand out! We plan on having a year end party with pizza, certificates, and an end of the season video before Christmas Break.
Thank you again for supporting the Pink Panthers!

- The end of quarter 2 is fast approaching! This is a great opportunity to check your student’s grades in Parent Connect and to work with your student to identify any missing assignments they may have and to make a game plan for getting missing work turned in.
- As an aside, there is still time to order a Team Raven t-shirt! T-shirt order forms are available from Team Raven teachers. Payments may be made online via Parent Connect; payments may also be made in person by check or cash. The cost is $15 per shirt.
- Team Raven’s team day theme on December 15 will be Staycation with multiple activities planned to happen on the Mears campus.
FIELD TRIP: The Century 16 field trip permission slips are due on FRIDAY, DECEMBER 8. If you do not turn in your permission slip by then, you will not be allowed to come. The sooner you turn in your permission slip, the sooner you can pick which of the two auditoriums you will watch the movie in.
Please wear your team shirt to the field trip on Friday, December 15. If you haven’t purchased one yet, you may do so on Q/Zangle or through Ms. Robin in the front office. They are $15.
With 3 weeks left of the quarter, please check in with Parent Connect and your student’s grades. Discuss with them how to tackle any missing assignments while keeping up with current content. After your conversations, please email your student’s teachers if you have any questions or concerns.
Last day for late work is Tuesday, December 19.
Semester II: Elective Change Requests
Elective Changes for Semester II! We will have one more elective option for semester II (Family Consumer Science classes and a Guitar Class with space limited). Students who wish to be an office or teacher aide must fill out the form and provide teacher/office staff signatures-these forms are available in the counselor’s office. Electives will be changed on a first come-first serve basis. Please provide specific notes on what you want changed when you fill out the counselor form below by clicking on the link.
