Tell Us: What Does Black History Month Mean to You?

As we approach Black History Month, celebrated nationally every February, we want to celebrate the voices and the diversity of Spring ISD. So we’re asking you: what does Black History Month mean to you? Answer the question in a few sentences and send it to, and be sure to include a photo of yourself. We’ll be sharing staff and students’ thoughts throughout the month of February.

Share your feedback through our annual School Quality Survey

Parents, we are committed to partnering with you to ensure your children receive the best possible educational experience in Spring ISD. That’s why you should take part in our annual School Quality Survey, which will open on Jan. 30 and close on Feb. 12.

The survey asks for feedback on safety and behavior, student support, academic preparation, school leadership, and family involvement. The district will use the results to monitor our progress in meeting the goals of our strategic plan, and our school will use the feedback to shape the right improvement plan for our campus.

You can take the online survey from any computer, tablet, or smartphone. Check your email for an invitation and survey link, or go to Paper surveys are also available at our front office. The survey is offered in English, Spanish and Vietnamese. Remember, all survey responses are strictly confidential.

Middle of the Year Parent Assessment Meeting

On Tuesday, February 7th, we will be conducting a virtual parent meeting to discuss the results of your child's assessments. Results of your child's assessments will be sent home this Thursday (2/2). The link for the parent meeting will be sent home in next week's parent newsletter.

Parent Involvement Day

Mark your calendars for Friday, February 17th. This is a student holiday, but it will also be our Parent Involvement Day. We are planning some exciting activties for the day! More information to come!

Appointments are Important

If you need to see Mr. Jackson or myself, please call first. Most days we are in the classrooms working with students and teachers and other days we may be in meetings with teachers. We certainly do not want you to make a trip to the school and not be able to see us.

K-5 Weekly Homework for this Semester

Students should be using our online reading program (Amplify Reading) and Math program (ST Math) at least 15 minutes each night. Both of these programs will help fill in any gaps students may have in their learning.

Free Meals For All Spring ISD Students During 2022-2023 School Year

  • Child Nutrition provides meals at no charge at many Spring ISD schools. This is made possible through the Community Eligibility Provision. All schools already serve breakfast for free but with the expansion of CEP, students at all campuses will also get free lunch, regardless of income. As it is a brand new campus, Momentum High School does not qualify for CEP this year. We encourage families attending Momentum High School to apply for the Free and Reduced Meals Program:

Spring ISD requests parents of students attending these schools complete the Household Income Survey.

For more information, please call 281-891-6445.

Updated COVID-19 Guidance for 2022-23 School Year

As we begin the new school year, we wanted to provide you with updated protocols related to the reporting of positive COVID-19 cases as a result of recent changes in guidance from the CDC. Spring ISD is not under a mask mandate this school year, but masks are allowed and discretionary based on student and staff health needs.

Within the linked document provided in this email, you will find information related to both student and staff reporting procedures and quarantine protocols.

Please review the complete document linked here for students and here for staff members, which both contain a link to the COVID Positive Test Form that will need to be completed for any student or staff member who reports positive test results.
