There are many times I get super excited (in my line of work - pretty much daily). One thing I truly enjoy about my job and being in classrooms, seeing students’ projects, watching the learning that is taking place, and experiencing the overall excitement. Innovation is now in full SARSEF mode (Southern Arizona Science and Engineering Foundation); better known as the Science Fair!! All over campus, students are working on amazing research projects. Innovation is the reigning SARSEF Top Elementary School. We have earned this recognition twice. Fingers crossed, third time is the charm?

2nd-5th grade students just completed winter MAP assessments and, as expected, they did extremely well. Nearly, 90% of IA are at or above grade level in reading and math! The few students who are not yet at grade level are quickly approaching grade level. What does all this tell me? A STEM-focused curriculum with a top notch staff and amazing students, equals success.

STEM Showcase - Tuesday, February 21

Mark your calendar for our Student STEM Showcase. This is a fun event where families can view and experience students' projects. This is an opportunity for students to showcase their learning.

February 23 & 24 - NO SCHOOL

Rodeo Days - In true Tucson tradition, the last Thursday and Friday of February are set aside so families can join in the fun of the Tucson Rodeo.
