Oakwood Principal's Office
What's Going on in the Principal's Office?!
My Challenge to You
Take the 12 minutes this video asks you to give. You will not regret it I promise. The video is funny, entertaining, and is very true. What is the subject of this talk you ask? Happiness.
When you look at the world what do you see? Do you see positive or do you see negative? When you go home and you relive your day with your significant other do you rehash the good or the bad parts of the day? Why do you think that is?
How do you respond to your success and goal achievement? Do you celebrate it? Do you enjoy it? Or do you just cross it off the list and move on to the next goal? Do you think that if you work harder you will achieve more success?
Remember what Shawn said, Your brain at positive is 31% more productive, creative, intelligent, and energetic than your brain that is in negative, neutral, or stressed. Think about the lens that you use to look at the world. It is a positive or negative lens? If you need to adjust your lens to see more positive take Shawn's suggestions:
- Express 3 graduates each day
- Journal over positive experiences so you can relive those experiences
- Exercise your body to show your brain that your behavior matters
- Meditate a few minutes a day to get past the cultural ADHD world of multitasking and be able to focus in on one task
- Random Acts of Kindness to people in your network will help you to look for positive instead of negative
It is SO EASY to focus in on the negative. Being that person that is focusing in on the negative will cause you to have determent to different parts of your life. Being positive does not mean you are being naive or ignorant to what is occurring around you but it does mean that you are choosing to believe and support the positive around you so that you have the strength, intelligence, and energy to push past the negative. Try the items listed above for 21 days and see what changes in your life.
Think. Achieve. Succeed.
