A Note From Mrs. Sienkowski

I am so fortunate to have the opportunity to join the Central family! Back to school time is always filled with many emotions. There is the excitement of new beginnings, the nostalgia of a summer gone by, and the anticipation of wonderful opportunities to come. Please know that I am here to support your children throughout this time of transition and assist all in making this an amazing school year. I look forward to seeing and meeting you at some of the upcoming events that are detailed below including: Registration, New Family Meet & Greet Night, and Back to School Night. You should also check out the Central webpage for updated information about our school. Congratulations go out to our many Central staff members who have gotten married this summer! You will notice the name changes in the "Welcome Back" section below. Please feel free to contact me with any questions, concerns, or ideas you might have. We are going to have a wonderful year together, working hard and having fun!

For the 2015-16 school year, Valparaiso Community Schools will be transitioning to a new student management system: Skyward. As part of a thorough data crosscheck, we will be verifying residency for ALL students attending Valparaiso Community Schools during the registration process.


RETURNING VCS STUDENTS


At registration for all returning students, proof of residency will be required. Please click the following link for required documents:


Documents Required for Proof of Residency


For families with students in multiple schools, residency documents need only be provided to one school during registration. After providing residency documents, parents/guardians will receive login information for their Skyward Family Access account. Once Family Access account information has been given to a family, the on-line registration process may be completed on-site at the school or at home. All registration forms in the on-line registration must be completed by the end of the registration period.


NEW TO VCS STUDENTS

For students in elementary school who are new to the Valparaiso Community Schools for the 2015-16 school year, please complete the information requested linked below and plan to visit Central during registration August 4 - August 6.

Back to School Night

Monday, August 17th from 5:30-7:00p.m.


During Back to School Night you will have an opportunity to visit your child's classroom, drop off school supplies, and stop by the stations listed below. Please note the times that classroom teachers will be presenting information for you about your child's classroom and be sure to get to the classroom at that scheduled time.

1st Grade 5:45-6:00
