Human Cloning

How do humans use genetics to change the world, past, present, and future.

First off many people say that adequate cloning will be the next scientific advancement. With all of this new technology coming out it very may be.

New ways to clone

Clone could be a source of stem cells, for super-personalized therapies made from people's own DNA.

Stem cells made in this way will compete with another method of creating personalized stem cells. Researchers showed they are able to transform adult skin cells directly into stem cells, with no stop for a transfer into an egg along the way. These cells are called induced pluripotent stem cells, or iPSCs, and they don't require the creation of embryos.

The future of cloning will lie more in this therapeutic cloning than reproductive cloning. The only difference between therapeutic cloning and reproductive cloning is that in therapeutic cloning the embryo is never transferred into a woman’s womb.

How Cloning Works

Cloning happens when genetic material is taken from an adult cell and that genetic material it placed into an egg whose own genetic material had been removed. Under the right conditions, that egg with a complete set of genes, with a complete genomic material, could develop into an embryo. It would divide into multiple cells and that embryo could be placed back into the womb to develop into a fetus and ultimately into a baby.

Cloning Uses

Cloning is not limited to one use there is more uses to cloning than that meets the eye. Cloning can be used to recover someone who was loved such as one's own child or a twin. Also to reproduce one's own qualities or to improve the human race. Cloning can also be used to product new healthy organs for people who would be in need of one. Cloning can even just be used to create a younger twin of themselves.
